Key Features
- Its patented steam-heating structure uses a small amount of water in the outer pot to gently heat the inner pot. As the water boils, steam rises around the rim of the inner pot, helping heat the ingredients evenly from above.
- The lid helps guide steam back into the outer pot, supporting efficient heat circulation with minimal water. The pot can be heated with solid fuel for convenient tabletop cooking.
- Suitable for tofu, dim sum, steamed dishes, soups, vegetables, and gently reheated rice.
- Designed for warm tabletop presentation, this pot is well suited to ryokan breakfasts, hotel buffets, seasonal restaurant menus, and house-made tofu dishes.
How to Make Tofu with This Pot
- Fill the outer pot with water up to the inner guideline. Use hot water during colder months.
- Set the inner pot in place and pour in the soy milk.
- Add the nigari coagulant and mix it about 10 stirs to combine.
- Place the lid on the pot and light the solid fuel. The tofu is ready once the fuel has burned out completely. For the small size, the process takes approximately 10 minutes.
Use & Care
- After use, wash the pot thoroughly and dry it completely before storing.
- When using solid fuel, heat until the fuel has burned out completely.
- Use with the dedicated stove stand (tabletop konro), sold separately.
- Do not use in a dishwasher or microwave.
- Because natural materials are used, slight variations in color and size may occur.
